The hotel is situated in a lively area with great dining options nearby. The rooms are generally clean and comfortable, but there were some issues with maintenance. The service was friendly and accommodating, and the location offers easy access to transportation. The dining experience was satisfactory, albeit with a limited selection. Overall, a decent value for the money.

My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but there was a lingering stench that needs addressing. The staff was helpful and friendly, offering directions and arranging a taxi for us. The location was convenient, with easy access to Long Island and Manhattan, but there were some concerns about the surrounding area. Dining options were minimal, although sufficient to get by. The facilities were decent but could use some improvements.

The hotel in Jamaica Queens had a King room that was stiflingly hot like a sauna at first, taking hours for the air conditioner to cool it to a livable temperature. The rooms need an upgrade for better air quality as there was a lurking stench.

The location of the hotel in Jamaica Queens is near the Long Island Rail Road, which is convenient for transportation, especially to Manhattan. However, the area can seem rough, especially at night, making it less inviting for leisurely walks.

When I first entered my room, it felt stiflingly hot, like a sauna, but fortunately, the staff was quick to address the issue and provided me with a clean room. The rooms were always clean, with fresh towels replaced daily, although I did encounter a minor problem with the bathroom sink not working properly, but I got moved to another room promptly.

The hotel is conveniently located with easy access to transportation options and offers basic amenities. The rooms are in need of maintenance and cleaning, and the dining options are limited. The staff is friendly and helpful, making the stay more pleasant despite the shortcomings.

Rooms

The only available room I got was on the first floor among the smoking rooms, which made it stiflingly hot like a sauna when I first entered. It took hours for the air conditioner unit to cool it down to a liveable temperature. The Queen room had mold around the bathtub and crumbs all over the carpet, so I had to request a change. It seemed like the room was still in service and should have been pulled from circulation.
Service
7.0
They were quick to respond to requests, although some were not available on the property.
Location
6.0
The location is in a lower-middle class city environment that some might not find the nicest, but it does offer convenient transportation options like the Long Island Rail Road, several buses that can take you to the subway into Manhattan, and a bus stop right outside the hotel. It seems generally OK in terms of safety.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was disappointing as it ended early and consisted of cold baked goods and dry cereal, which made it the worst I encountered in all my travels. The options were extremely limited and unsatisfactory.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were nothing special, but they seemed more than adequate. However, there was an issue with the dining options and the room conditions.

The hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were nice but the hotel was difficult to locate despite providing all booking details. There were cleanliness issues with mold around the bathtub and crumbs on the carpet, and the sheets had stray hairs and leftover food in the fridge. The service, however, was super awesome, with staff being accommodating, friendly, and helpful. The location was convenient being close to the Long Island Railroad for easy access to various destinations. The dining options were subpar, especially considering the discrepancy in prices shown online. Facilities were decent but had room for improvement.

The hotel gave me a mixed experience. The rooms were a bit old-fashioned, with some issues like cigarette smell and dampness, but the bedside lamp was a nice touch. The bedspreads were not very clean. The service was top-notch with a helpful and professional manager. The location was convenient with easy access to transportation, though not much help from the surroundings. The dining was basic and not the best value for money.

Upon arrival at the hotel, our room had a faint smell of smoke which, thankfully, was tolerable. It was on the tighter side but convenient as it took only 15 minutes to get settled. Initially stiflingly hot, akin to a sauna, it took hours for the air conditioner to cool it to a bearable temperature.
